Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with uppercase letters in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are among the artist's high-profile recordings. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding a piano in her attic and being awed by the sounds it would make. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not for an income or as a pastime and as a way to grow. They advised her to compose. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as a love for Bjork's style. She began performing her music in public when her mother said they could help people not gain acclaim for her work, but instead help the people around them understand the importance of their work and how they impact the world. She began playing the piano at age six and creating music when she was nine. They didn't even be aware until fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She says she just likes creating songs. For her music, it is the best means of communicating anything.
